How do you guide yourself to let go of reaction? That is truly part of the human experience, yet that is the very thing that leads us to harbor feelings in our body.
The fact that we react to others actions can actually allow emotion to build up in our bodies and start the signs of dis-ease….but that is what we do….react. I am truly just letting the thoughts roll out of my head tonight as I blog.
Our Minds and Bodies Interact
I am so curious as to how our minds and bodies interact….almost as though they are truly two separate beings! Our mind tells us one thing and our body responds in the best way it can. Our mind hangs on to thoughts processes that are truly damaging to our body…..so where do we go with it???Choose your reaction. Everything has a bright side. #happiness Click To Tweet
It is truly puzzling and I guess the mystery of our lives. My personal goal in life is to become aware of the reactions I choose. We will all most definitely react to everything that we face in life….but as I continue this thought process, I realize that is being AWARE that we are reacting in a certain way is the beginning of the realization that reaction is the basis for our body’s well being.
Turning Around to the Positive
If the initial reaction is one that is negative based….acknowledge it… give it some time to be there…then exercise turning it around to a more positive place and move forward with it that way.
I am told that everything has a positive twist…some things are very difficult to put in that place….but none the less everything has a bright side (or one that is brighter than the other).
So letting go of:
- Negative thoughts
- Long held grudges
AND replacing those feelings with:
….ahhh yes that is better.
